Set in a small, remote village in the Eastern Cape during apartheid, this is the story of Shumikazi \u2013 the only surviving child of Jojo and Miseka.<\/p>\n

Shumi appears to live an unremarkable life. But she is marked for extraordinary things and this is evident after she faces an unspeakable betrayal.<\/p>\n

This is a tale of love \u2013 above all, the love a father has for his daughter.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Beware. These books should come with a warning \u2013 colouring in can be addictive.<\/p>\n

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would derive so much pleasure from the simple, solitary act of colouring in.<\/p>\n

I have a range of books in my collection and, depending on my mood, spend at least an hour every day getting lost in a world of Mandalas, gardens, birds or dreams. Its loads of fun.<\/p>\n

These books are a great adult stocking filler this Christmas. Watch out for them in stores.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure this is a book I want to look at as the holidays approach. But it is certainly a book clinicians and therapists should take a look at.<\/p>\n
