I read this book in a mere few hours \u2013 I just could not put it down, despite the chill down my spine.<\/p>\n

Stalking (cyber or otherwise) is a very real and terrifying experience. And social media opens our world up to many new and unsettling forms of stalking.<\/p>\n

Many of us are active on at least one social media platform every day \u2013 Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Snapchat, blogging \u2013 the list is endless. A post we see as harmless, fun, interesting or just impulsive can be easily picked up by a stranger. The end result can be terrifying.<\/p>\n

Now Following You<\/em>, is the story of Jamie Burchell, co-owner of a coffee shop and bakery. But her dream is to be a writer.<\/p>\n

As a means to this, she writes a blog. Her life revolves around it and posting her every move on social media.<\/p>\n

Things take a sinister turn when someone begins to take notice of Jamie\u2019s posts and begins responding in unnerving ways.<\/p>\n

Despite warnings, Jamie blogs about her \u201cstalker\u201d \u2013 and suddenly her fan base sky rockets and she receives an offer to publish her blogs.<\/p>\n

Suddenly she\u2019s caught between continuing with her \u201cstalker\u201d blog which could eventually lead to her realising her dream, or backing off and recognising the danger.<\/p>\n

But even when her online stalker escalates into following her in real life, Jamie finds it difficult to stop her posts.<\/p>\n

Innocent people like her single-dad neighbour also gets sucked into the sordid mess.<\/p>\n

Stalking is a real, often terrifying experience that sucks in not only the predator and victim, but innocent people around them as well.<\/p>\n

Now Following You<\/em> is a wake-up call to social media addicts \u2013 think before you click that \u201cpost\u201d button.<\/p>\n
