In March 2016, Struik Lifestyle, will be publishing Van der Westhuizen’s new cookbook – JAN – A Breath of French Air. It will also be available in Afrikaans as JAN – My Franse Kosverhaal. The book is a memoir and celebration of the renowned eatery.
According to Struik, each chapter captures the mood and inspiration of what is served at JAN. Over 90 recipes cover everything from locally baked breads, amuse bouche and mouthwatering main courses to what the chefs eat after a long night in a hot kitchen.
So, if you’re a lover of good food and beautiful cookbooks, diarise a date in March to head off to your local bookstore for a copy of the book.
