From a sumptuous breakfast at the Health Bar to a display of the latest treatments on offer to a luxurious massage with the Spa’s own range of proudly South African products – it really was a morning of pure indulgence.
Nestled at the rear of the Oyster Box hotel, in a luscious garden, the atmosphere even before you enter the Spa itself is tranquil and relaxing.
Think 6* facilities, products and treatments, attention to detail and the customer’s needs being paramount in the minds of the highly skilled staff in attendance – this is what you can expect on a visit here.
From the deliciously warm booties placed on my feet as I was treated to a massage, to the fully equipped change area – where you need only carry your makeup (everything else is provided), The Spa prides itself in offering the highest level of personal care and pampering.
The Spa boasts six treatment rooms (that are equipped for single or dual treatments as well as hydrotherapy baths and rain showers), an indulgent Hammam (a traditional Oriental steam experience that is wonderful for relaxation), a plunge pool, a fitness centre, a health bar with homemade snacks, an array of teas, fresh fruit and juices, and my personal favourite – a tranquillity lounge where customers can relax between and after treatments.
The Spa is open to both men and women, and couples’ treatments are also available.
If you’re planning a baby shower, hen’s party, or even a day out with your friends, consider booking a group session in this magnificent setting. You’re guaranteed to leave feeling revived and pampered.
The Spa prides itself on using top end products in its treatments. These include the Elemis body and facial ranges, Dermalogica and Mama Mio – a stunning body range that would appeal especially to mummies-to-be. Mama Mio’s attraction is its body treatments that target women’s key concerns (cellulite, tummy flab, lifting the bust, and upper arm wobble).
I was especially glad to see that The Spa carries B | Africa, a proudly South African range of body care products and professional spa treatments. These products are prepared by “blending African plant extracts, the natural goodness of the sea and eco-friendly production technologies”, according to the brochure.
I was treated to a back massage with the calming, relaxing Lavender and Jasmine Body Balm. It was heavenly. This is definitely a high-end, high-quality range that I would happily use every day.
Keen on ensuring their clientele never miss out on new techniques and therapies, the spa has introduced four new treatments to its menu.
- A 60-minute Elemis Body Sculpting Cellulite and Colon Therapy
- 75-minute Elemis BioTec facials
- A 60-minute Dermalogica Advanced Skin Treatment BioSurface™ Peel
- A 60-minute Mio Get Waisted® Tummy Sculpting treatment
You can choose to spend an hour, half a day or even a full day here – though I found it difficult tearing myself away and heading back into the real world.
Visit the website and read more about what is on offer so you can tailor make your experience. Don’t miss out.[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]
