What I do as an English trainer

I’ve noticed something over the years.

When people hear “English trainer”, they assume certain things:

  • That I correct every error.
  • That I reduce accents.
  • That I chase some invisible standard called “native fluency”.

I don’t. And I think it’s time I shared, clearly, what I actually do.

What I don’t do

I don’t…Because…
Correct every errorErrors are often just transfers from other languages. They don’t need fixing. They need noticing.
Reduce accentsYour accent is geography, family, history. It’s not broken.
Chase “native speaker” EnglishYou are the goal. Not someone from London or New York.
Push fluency as speedRushing is not the same as communicating. Pausing is not failing.
Use shame as a toolShame shuts people down. It doesn’t open them up.

What I do

I do…How it works
Add toolsOne small structure. One useful phrase. One way to navigate a situation.
Remove unnecessary apologiesMost “sorry for my English” is habit, not truth. We practise letting it go.
Build easeNot speed. Not perfection. Just comfort while communicating.
Name patternsThat “mistake” is often just a transfer from another language you know. That’s intelligence, not failure.
Offer permissionPermission to pause. Permission to be imperfect. Permission to sound like you.

Three programmes I offer

Business Track: “English for Impact”

For professionals who want to feel clearer and more confident in meetings, emails, and client conversations.

  • 4 weeks, 1:1 text-based coaching
  • Email feedback on real messages
  • Scripts for difficult conversations
  • No video calls

Conversation Track: “Real Talk”

For students and professionals who want to feel at ease in everyday English – social settings, travel, small talk, meetings, seminars.

  • 10 sessions, video-based coaching
  • Real-time conversation practice
  • Reflection prompts and practical scripts
  • Permission-focused feedback
  • Recordings available for review (optional)

Speaking Business English Track: “Voice at Work”

For professionals who already write decent English but hesitate when speaking in meetings, calls, or presentations.

  • 6 sessions, video-based coaching
  • Real business scenarios (pitching, clarifying, disagreeing politely)
  • Focus on pacing, phrasing, and vocal presence
  • Clearer, calmer speaking
  • Optional recording review for self-awareness

Not a fit? I can tailor a course for you

These three tracks work for most people, but not everyone fits neatly into a box. Maybe you need:

  • A different duration (shorter or longer)
  • A mix of text and video
  • Preparation for a specific event (a presentation, an interview, a relocation)
  • Help with a very specific skill (email tone, small talk, meeting interruptions)
  • Group sessions instead of 1:1

Whatever it is, let me know what you’re navigating. I’ll build a short, focused plan around you. No cookie-cutter curriculum. No unnecessary modules. One conversation to design it. That’s all it takes.

Who these courses are for

You might be a good fit if:

  • You already use English (you’re not starting from zero)
  • You’re tired of feeling heavy or hesitant
  • You want tools, not grammar drills
  • You prefer writing, video, or a mix depending on the track
  • You’re ready to try something different

Who this is not for

This probably isn’t for you if:

  • You need exam preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
  • You believe in “native speaker” as the only goal
  • You only want live video coaching without structure

And that’s okay. Not everyone is a fit.

If any of this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, mail me for a free consult.
