Happy dance! September is only days away and that means Spring has officially arrived in Durban.
And let’s be honest – us Durbanites just don’t do cold winters.
So watch my blog for all the reasons to get out and about in and around Durban, soak up some sun, and generally prepare for a fantastic summer ahead.
First off – The Flying Fish Beach Volleyball Flavour Fest is coming to UKZN’s Howard College Campus tomorrow.
The festival encapsulates everything that’s good about Durban during our balmy summer months, so I’m all for a bit of fun and action after a few rather cold days this winter – YES! Anything below 22˚C in Durban is cold! We’re spoilt that way.
Hosted by popular hip hop group Cashtime Life and MTV’s Queen of Skhanda, Nomuzi Mabena, the events are being rolled out by Flying Fish Premium Flavoured Beer during the 2015/2016 beach volleyball season. Other artists to look out for tomorrow are KO, Kid X and DJ Vigilante.
Punk and Ivy will be showcasing some of the pieces from their limited addition fashion range designed specifically for the beach volleyball festivals.
More Beach Volleyball Flavour Festivals are happening in Cape Town, Pretoria, Bloemfontein and Grahamstown soon.
Entry is free and you can register for the festivals on the Flying Fish website.[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]
