Slow Saturday anyone?

8 Morrison Street, Rivertown, is one of Durban’s most exciting urban regeneration spaces, and I’ve been keeping a keen eye on the goings on at the space.

I’ve been particularly interested in the Slow Saturdays concept. It’s all about showcasing local talent – musically, gastronomically, artistically and through entrepreneurship.

Entrance to Rivertown is free and you can expect some excellent retail therapy on offer, art, a bit of pampering, good music by local performers, food and plenty to drink.

Slow Saturdays happens every Saturday and is all about growing a vibrant community of “localists” that are passionate about Durban.

So, if you’ve got a Saturday to spare, head on down to 8 Morrison Street between 10am and 4pm. You won’t be disappointed.
